SSSC General Business Meeting, Vogt 311

President: Adam Pfendt
• Anyone wanting to be nominated for homecoming representing council, the applications are due 9/12 at 2PM.
• SGA has some extra money that can be requested:
• Council will submit a request for new council office chairs.
• Council will submit a request for additional money for more people to go to NAESC
• Dean Day asked for student opinions on the technology fee.
• Also, opinions are still wanted on student discount cards.

Vice President: Jordan Malof
• Attended meeting about the graduate program on Tuesday.
• Minimum 2.75 GPA required to be a good standing graduate student.
• Still 2.5 required to be accepted into the master of engineering program.

DOA: Jared Hatfield
• The printer in the council office should be fixed.
• Changes to improve the reliability of the council computers will be made shortly.

DOCAR: Robert Caprara
• Robert is in need of a proxy. Contact Adam if you are interested in the position.

DOF: Kent Matsuzaki
• Snacks and shirts are in. Everyone should be happy now.
• T-shirts are now on sale for $10.

DOPR: Alex Halbleib (Proxy: Steven Ryan)
• There is a meeting Tuesday the 16th at 6PM in the council office.
• The admissions office is looking for students to host shadow students.

DOSR: Mary Soltys (Proxy: Brittany Raines)
• Another email will be sent out to societies regarding society picnic.

DOSAC: Shannon George
• Society Picnic was originally schedule to be held on on the September 16th has now been moved to the September 23rd to allow more time for organization
• Societies will have an incentive to be involved. A student ballot will determine which society gets an extra $100 for a society hosted activity

DOSAF: Ryan Leonard (Proxy: Hanna Downs)
• 36 freshman came out to the first study jam!
• There will be another study jam this Sunday at 6PM in Vogt 311. Upperclassmen are encouraged to come out and help the freshman.

Speed News: Brian Goessling
• A new issue was released this week.
• Speed News will remain bi-weekly for the time being.

• Shelly: regional's for NAESC is now January 23-25. Nationals will be in California in the first weekend in April
• Hanna: Freshman Council meeting on Sunday followed by study jam
• Jody: The café cab is interested to know where and when it should be located .
